Airflow is a workflow automation tool that originates at Airbnb but has been open-sourced to the Apache foundation. At the core of Airflow are directed acyclical graphs (DAGs). These can be triggered by a recurring schedule or by a particular event. Airflow is designed under the "configuration as code" principle and is completely Python-driven. It comes with a user interface that assists in visualizing and monitoring complex workflow configurations.
